Are you protected?

Homeowners and landlords pay a fire levy as part of their insurance. It’s meant to provide fire protection services. Are you covered?

090208 kinglake areaCFA volunteers do an outstanding job. Victoria is indebted to them for their service and courage.

But recently there have been incidents in Melbourne’s outer suburbs where volunteer units have not turned out when called. Understandably, members might be working far from home, or unable to respond quickly due to urban traffic.

As Melbourne grows, its fire protection needs to grow. The outer suburbs and growth corridors of Melbourne need full-time protection (as ruled by the Board of Reference in April 2009).
